Refund & Cancellation Policy

Important Notice

Custom print products are NON-REFUNDABLE once production has started. All orders are custom-made to your specifications. Please review your order carefully before payment.

1. When You CAN Cancel

You may cancel and receive a full refund if:

  • Order status is "PENDING_PAYMENT" (payment not yet confirmed)
  • Cancellation request is made within 24 hours of order placement
  • Order has NOT entered production (status is not "IN_PRODUCTION")

Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.

2. When You CANNOT Cancel

No refunds or cancellations are possible if:

  • Order status is "IN_PRODUCTION", "READY", or "DELIVERED"
  • More than 24 hours have passed since order placement
  • Production has already begun (materials cut, printing started)

3. We Do NOT Refund For:

  • ⚠️Customer Error: Incorrect dimensions, measurements, or specifications provided by you
  • ⚠️Color Variations: Slight differences due to screen calibration (we provide proofs for approval)
  • ⚠️Installation Issues: Adhesion failures, bubbles, or peeling due to improper application (supply-only service)
  • ⚠️Change of Mind: Customer decides they no longer want the product after production starts
  • ⚠️Artwork Issues: Low-resolution files, incorrect colors in uploaded artwork, or copyright claims

4. Manufacturing Defects - Free Reprint or Refund

We WILL reprint at no charge or provide a full refund if:

  • Print Defects: Banding, incorrect colors (not due to screen calibration), smudging, or physical damage
  • Wrong Dimensions: Product does not match approved specifications due to our production error
  • Material Defects: Vinyl not adhering, peeling, or cracking due to material fault (not installation error)

Claim Process: Contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Order number
  • Clear photos of the defect
  • Description of the issue

We will review and respond within 48 hours. Approved claims receive a free reprint or full refund.

5. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved:

  • Credit/Debit Card: 5-7 business days to reflect in your account
  • EFT/Bank Transfer: 3-5 business days

Refunds are processed to the original payment method used at checkout.

6. Payment Link Expiry

If you do not complete payment within 48 hours, your order will automatically expire and be moved to "EXPIRED" status.

You will receive an email with a renewal link valid for 7 days. After 7 days, you must request a new quote.

7. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund based on the above terms:

  1. Email us at studio@inkandpixelstudios.co.za
  2. Include your order number and reason for refund
  3. Provide supporting documentation (photos if applicable)

Response Time: We will respond within 48 hours and resolve approved claims within 5 business days.

8. Consumer Protection Act (CPA) Compliance

This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (Act No. 68 of 2008). You have the right to fair, honest, and transparent dealing. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with the National Consumer Commission.
